Digital vs Physical: Price Comparison

The digital vignette and the physical sticker vignette are priced identically by ASFINAG. There is no premium for the digital option. However, some third-party resellers may charge a small service fee for processing digital purchases — always compare before buying.

Cost Considerations

  • ASFINAG direct: no service fee for digital vignette
  • Third-party portals: may charge €1–€3 service fee
  • Physical sticker at border: face value only, no service fee
  • Physical sticker at petrol stations: face value, may include small handling charge
  • Annual vignette: most cost-effective for 3+ trips per year
